Change Your Password

To change your password you will need to enter your username, current password, and new password choice into the form below. When choosing a password, try to avoid using dictionary words; a combination of numbers and letters works well.

If you are a DSL customer and changing the password for the main account "username", you must also update your new password in your DSL modem or you will not be able to connect to the Internet. If you need assistance, please call our technical support department.
 

Usage Report

You can check your Shentel on-line usage by connecting via Telnet to usage.shentel.net.

Once you enter into the Telnet program you will be asked for the following:

Login - Type in your Shentel username using lowercase letters and no spaces. Leave out "@shentel.net". Press 'enter'.
Password - Type in your current Shentel password using lowercase letters. You will not see anything as you type the password. Press 'enter'.

After you have logged in, you will see a menu:

The following options are currently available:
  1. Change password.
  2. Send usage report for this month by e-mail.
  3. Send usage report for last month by e-mail.
  4. Send usage report for two months ago by e-mail.
  5. Send usage report for three months ago by e-mail.
  6. Send usage report for four months ago by e-mail.
  7. Exit.

Choose one of the options by typing in the corresponding number or letter, then press 'enter'. To check your usage, use your space bar to see the entire report. This report will be automatically e-mailed to you.
